Good news....
My gothtronica band Keller Kinder has been asked to fly over to Sydney, Australia to perform at the Under The Blue Moon festival with local favourites Mz Ann Thropik in late September. Understandably I'm ecstatic and honoured to have this opportunity. Right. We need money for air-fares. Let the fund-raising epic of the year begin! DN.

YES!! We're back on!! This month we're proud to present Serenna live who I for one haven't seen since Darkness 06 two years ago so they will be great to see live again. DJs Bradula and Imaginary Boy spin the decks from nine. As always, $2 on the door.

Black Friday's Shadowlounge.
Well tomorrow's Friday the 13th and so you know that Shadowlounge will be up and running. DJing are Bradula and Enerate. The special of the night.....$5 bourbon & coke. That'll keep you lot happy. Personally, I can't touch the stuff, let alone drink it after Hayley's and my hardcore Jim Beam binge two years ago at Eva Street. Groan. Awesome. 9pm - 3am. See you at Shadowlounge.

Not too shabby....
Well I must say it's quite cool that Keller Kinder - She Likes The Candle Burning (tour version) is currently the 77th most viewed music related video this week on YouTube in little ol' New Zealand. Not too shabby at all. :D Have a watch and yes, it appears some aren't too fond of the introduction which was shot in a hotel room in Auckland before the gig which I assure you won't be on the not-live version of the music video I'm planning, just looking for a gloomy inside location now. DN.

Ooooh indeed! I'm rather happy to say that I think we've found Keller Kinder a good manager for the German market. She is young but she's energetic, motivated, loves the band, understands the scene over there and has good connections to the WGT management (fuck yeah!)(and no I'm not fucking her). So yes, we need to keep the recording sessions and the photoshoots happening so we have one flash press-kit. Woo-hoo! THE DEATH OF EVA STREET drinks tomorrow night. We're going. Are you? DN.

Saturday.
Well last night was nice; some laid-back drinks at my place before the OS9 gig tonight with Keller Kinder and their relevant girls, Adam Vink, his brother and DJ Corrosion and his girl. Up the river, down the river and Circle of Death and then at around one they left back to Anton's where there was more booze and we stayed here at home. Now the goth girls are going swimming at the beach while we do our soundcheck and have a preliminary interview with Nocturne Magazine who are reviewing our performance tonight at OS9. See all you Wellington folk tonight at 8pm at OS9 for Provocateur and Keller Kinder! DN.

Strange start to the day.
So yeah, weird news x2, Heath Ledger was found dead in an NYC apartment (that'll make watching his performance as The Joker even more chilling) and my old friend Adam Thomson (better known as Bastard by the metal crowd) has now a beautiful, healthy baby girl. It really puts writing this bloody essay into context. DN.

My film assignment for German 316.
For the final German undergraduate language paper assignment we got together in groups, wrote a story based on the comics of Wilhelm Busch and then developed it into a screenplay and shot it. I was so destroyed on Saturday afternoon when I filmed it which may account for the odd camera shake but generally it's not bad for German students....as opposed to film students. It'd been over three years since I edited anything and I still fucking love it and now regret I hadn't left it. Anyway....enjoy it! I find the music choices particularly tasteful. Some of the angles are rather cool too and some slick cutting in there too if I do say so myself, he he. DN. |
